Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the legal relationship between the Trikdis Hungary webshop (the "Service Provider") and the customer purchasing through the webshop (the "Customer"). They apply to all transactions concluded through the website. The language of the contract and of the binding, full version of the GTC is Hungarian; this English text is a summary provided for convenience. By placing an order, the Customer accepts the terms set out here.
Key points:
- Company details, delivery, payment and VAT-free purchase for EU customers are described on the respective information pages of the webshop.
- Right of withdrawal: a Customer qualifying as a consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving reasons within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, under Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.). If the Service Provider fails to provide the required information about this right, the withdrawal period is extended by 12 months. Refunds, including the standard delivery cost, are made within 14 days using the original payment method.
- Exceptions to withdrawal: the right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products, in particular to non-tangible digital content once performance has begun with the Customer's consent. This includes the serial port unlock code: as the code is delivered electronically and can be used without limitation once disclosed, the order cannot be revoked and its price cannot be refunded after the code has been provided.
- Warranty (jotallas): for consumers, mandatory warranty on durable consumer goods follows the price bands set by Government Decree 151/2003. (IX. 22.) and Decree 10/2024. (VI. 28.): no mandatory warranty below HUF 10,000; 2 years between HUF 10,000 and 250,000; 3 years above HUF 250,000. The manufacturer's (Trikdis) warranty on standalone devices - communicators, alarm panels, gate controllers and the AI-based camera device - is 2 years. For non-consumer buyers (resellers, installers, companies) the rules of the Civil Code apply.
- Warranty of accessories and product warranty: the Customer may enforce warranty claims under the Civil Code and Government Decree 373/2021. (VI. 30.), within a 2-year limitation period; for consumers, a defect discovered within the first year is presumed to have existed at the time of performance.
- Complaints and enforcement: complaints may be submitted through the Contact page. In case of a consumer dispute the Customer may turn to the competent county (metropolitan) government office as consumer protection authority, to the competent conciliation board (see bekeltetes.hu), or to the courts.
- Data management: personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679); details are set out in the Privacy Policy. The newsletter subscription can be cancelled at any time free of charge.
- Retention of ownership: the product remains the property of the Service Provider until the purchase price has been paid in full.
