Trikdis RL25 IP receiver

  • €1,830.00 Ex Tax: €1,487.80

Available Options

The Trikdis RL25 is a ready-to-use hardware receiver for central monitoring stations, powered by IPcom v5 – Trikdis's fully rewritten, browser-managed receiver platform that receives, processes, routes and supervises security system events.

It ships preconfigured as a Compact unit or a 19″ rack version: power it on, connect it to the network and it starts receiving events – no server of your own, no installation, no IT maintenance. It is the successor of the RL14 IP receiver.

Compatible with all Trikdis communicators and control panels (GT, GT+, GET, G16, E16, FLEXi SP3 and more), it forwards events to your CMS software both in the classic monitoring formats (SIA DC-09, Surgard, Ademco 685, Monas3) and over modern channels (JSON, Webhook, SQL).

Key features

  • Up to 50,000 supervised objects per 1 GB of RAM – multi-threaded, high-throughput event processing
  • Web-based management (HTTP / HTTPS): live status dashboard, system log and a user-level change audit trail
  • Input from communicators: TCP / UDP / COM, RS232
  • Output to CMS software: Ademco 685, Surgard MLR2 / MLR2000, Monas3, SIA DC-09
  • Integration: TCP client / server, RS232, JSON, Webhook, SQL database (MySQL)
  • Protegus 2 relay: events reach the monitoring station and the end user's app alike
  • Multiple virtual receivers on one IP address with different ports; account override at receiver level
  • Remote device configuration and control via TrikdisConfig; remote software update from the web interface
  • Multi-level user list with granular rights and login-by-IP restriction
  • 2 × Ethernet RJ-45, 12 V DC / 5 A power supply

Form factors

  • RL25 Compact – stand-alone computer unit
  • RL25 Rack – with a 19″ rack-mount panel

Choose the form factor when ordering; both provide the same IPcom v5 feature set.

One platform, three forms

The same IPcom v5 receiver is also available as software: a Linux edition for your own server or virtual machine, and a Windows edition for Windows-based stations. The RL25 is the no-installation, ready-to-use option.

Frequently asked questions

Protegus 2 is the 2nd generation of Trikdis's cloud app: control your alarm system from your phone and get instant notifications. We recommend it for every current internet-connected Trikdis device. The user app is free; the paid, usage- (customer-) based tier is for monitoring stations, installers and companies.

Yes, using the TrikdisConfig programming software (via USB or remotely). The latest firmware is recommended for the best compatibility and security.

Yes: Protegus 2 can be tried on a live demo system, without installation or purchase — from a browser and from the mobile app too. This lets you see in advance what arming, notifications, and system status look like on a working alarm system.

There is no standalone Trikdis communicator that communicates exclusively over Wi-Fi, but the SIM-card communicators can be extended with the W485 Wi-Fi expansion module. There is also a purely Wi-Fi version, as well as a Wi-Fi + SIM 4G version, of the FLEXi SP3 alarm panel.

Currently the FLEXi SP3, the CG17, and the GV17 support SMS forwarding; this feature is not yet available on the other devices.

Protegus 2 typically retains the event list for up to two months; with a large volume of events, this period may shorten to as little as one month.

The AUX power output of the Paradox SP4000 alarm panel has limited load capacity. In certain cases — whether using a dedicated or a universal TRIKDIS communicator — the communicator's current draw can place too much load on the AUX output. As a result, the communicator may become unstable, restart, or fail to operate correctly.

Experience shows that the problem is usually solved by powering the TRIKDIS communicator directly from the alarm panel's battery terminals (+/-) instead of from the AUX output. This provides a stable power supply and eliminates the restart or operational issues.

Note: Before changing the wiring, always check that the system complies with the manufacturer's specifications and that the total load on the power supply does not exceed the permitted value.
