G16 – Direct Control for DSC PowerSeries Alarm Control Panels

We are pleased to announce an important new feature for the G16 communicator: DSC PowerSeries alarm control panels can now be directly controlled.

The Trikdis G16 communicator now supports direct control of DSC PowerSeries panels via a bidirectional data bus connection. The following functions are available through the Protegus app:

• Arming / disarming using user codes;
• Monitoring zone status;
• Zone bypass;
• Automatic zone and area mapping.

With this update, the G16 now supports direct control of Paradox, UTC Interlogix (Caddx), Texecom, and DSC alarm control panels.

If you are looking for a communicator for a different brand of alarm control panel, the G16T is the right choice — arming and disarming can be achieved by connecting the communicator output (OUT1) to the panel zone input as a key switch.
