Dual Path Communication Now Available for the GV17 GATOR Gate Controller

With Trikdis solutions, the SIM-based gate controller can now establish a redundant data connection, ensuring continuous communication even in the event of a network failure.

How does it work?

The concept is the same as the well-known dual path solution: the SIM-based GV17 GATOR device is supplemented with a WiFi or Ethernet expansion module.

The system always prioritizes the wired or WiFi connection whenever it is available.

Automatic switchover in case of failure

As long as a stable internet connection is available, data traffic flows through this channel, ensuring fast and cost-effective operation.

If the connection is interrupted, the system automatically switches to the SIM-based mobile network, so communication continues without interruption.

When is it worth using?

It is ideal for installations where continuous availability is critical and communication downtime is not acceptable.

Typical use cases: industrial gates, residential building systems, remote sites.
