Flexible Wireless Access Control with the GATOR RF-LoRa System
The GATOR (SIM and WiFi version) can now be used with an RF-LoRa expansion module, enabling a fully wireless, scalable access control system for up to 8 doors.
System concept
The GATOR and GATOR WiFi controllers support the RF-LoRa transceiver, which provides long-range radio communication to remote door control modules.
This architecture eliminates wiring while ensuring stable and reliable communication even in complex buildings.
The role of RF-LoRa and iO-LoRa
The RF-LoRa module extends the GATOR controller by communicating with remote iO-LoRa units.
The iO-LoRa module handles the physical control of the gate/door: relay output, status feedback input, and Wiegand reader support.
Key features of the iO-LoRa module
- Door lock control (relay output)
- Door status feedback (input)
- Wiegand RFID reader support
- Code and card-based opening
PROTEGUS 2 mobile control
The entire system can be managed via the PROTEGUS 2 app, from anywhere and at any time.
- Open and close doors with a single tap
- Real-time status monitoring
- Scheduled access settings
- User permission management
- Instant event notifications
Benefits
The system offers fast installation, minimal cabling requirements, and high flexibility, especially for multi-door or distributed installations.
Up to 8 doors can be managed wirelessly with a single GATOR controller using wireless expansion.
