Trikdis G16 2G GSM smart communicator

The G16 2G GSM smart communicator can cooperate with Paradox, DSC, and other manufacturers' alarm systems directly through the data bus (DATA BUS) or serial port communication (SERIAL PORT).

Transmitting data via 2G/GPRS mobile network to the monitoring station and the user through the Protegus 2 Mobile and Web applications or SMS. With the communicator, the alarm system allows the owner to remotely arm or disarm it from the mobile app and control and monitor additional connected devices.

The Trikdis G16* and G16T communicators are excellent replacement for the Paradox PCS250(G), PCS265LEU and DSC TL405LE GSM modules.

Alarm control panels connectable via Data Bus or Serial Port

The Trikdis E16, G16 and GET are compatible with all control panels listed below . The main advantage of these specialized Trikdis communicators is that events are transmitted via the data bus or serial port.

Control panels marked in blue can be directly controlled (arming / disarming) via the serial port or data bus, without additional wiring.

Control panels marked in black receive events via the serial port or data bus , but require key switch zones and additional wiring for full control of the alarm system .

For not supported and other manufacturers control panels, use the G16T communicator with telephone line (TIP RING) connection.

Main features:

• GSM or 2G mobile network-based IP communicator compatible with popular alarm panels from major manufacturers

You'll Need a Cable for Connection

If the G16 or E16 communicator is being connected to a Paradox alarm panel, you'll need a cable that can be connected to the CRP2 serial port as well.

If you're connecting it to a Texecom alarm panel, choose the CRP4 cable!

Connection to Data Bus or Serial Port, What Does This Mean?

In this case, the communicator is practically taught to understand the alarm panel's own language (one-way communication). Just like operators or other peripheral devices, the communicator sees events and will transmit the appropriate information according to the settings.

Direct Control

In the case of directly controllable panels, the communicator not only receives notifications from the panel but also a part of the functions available on the keypad becomes accessible (bidirectional communication).

G16 and G16T comes with a basic ANT01S GSM Antenna. If you expect a weak signal at the place of installation or your module will be shaded by a metal box or a thick wall, we recommend buying a ME301M magnetic or a ANT04 stick-on antenna with 2.5m wire.
