The G16 4G GSM smart communicator can cooperate with Paradox, DSC, and other manufacturers' alarm systems directly through the data bus (DATA BUS) or serial port communication (SERIAL PORT).

Transmitting data via 4G/GPRS mobile network to the monitoring station and the user through the Protegus 2 Mobile and Web applications or SMS. With the communicator, the alarm system allows the owner to remotely arm or disarm it from the mobile app and control and monitor additional connected devices.

The Trikdis G16* and G16T communicators are excellent replacement for the Paradox PCS250(G), PCS265LEU and DSC TL405LE GSM modules.

What does Trikdis offer?

  • Reliable operation
  • Free Android, Iphone and web application
  • * Connects directly to the control panel - this is a unique feature that nobody else is capable of
  • Remote control (arming / disarming)

Alarm panels connectable via data bus or serial port

The Trikdis E16, G16, and GET can be used with all alarm panels listed below. The great benefit using the special Trikdis communicators, that events are received via the data bus or serial port.

Control panels marked red can be controlled directly from the serial port / data bus without any further wiring.

Control panels marked black means these control panels get the events from the serial port / data bus, but for remotely controlling the alarm system, key-switch zones and additional wiring is required

You don't see your model listed above?

For not supported and other manufacturers control panels, use the G16T communicator with telephone line (TIP RING) connection.

Main features:

  • GSM or 4G mobile network-based IP communicator compatible with popular alarm panels from major manufacturers
  • Uniquely connects not to TIP RING but to the data bus or, in some types, the serial port, enabling message reading and transmission in less than a second
  • Free Protegus 2 server, so no Fixed IP or Dynamic DNS is required

User features:

  • The owner is notified of the alarm system's events through the free Protegus 2 Mobile and Web applications
  • "Push" messages and distinctive sounds for event and alarm notifications
  • Remote arming and disarming

Controllable outputs:

  • 3 flexibly selectable contacts that can be used as inputs or outputs
  • RS485 port for other compatible expansion modules and devices (available only in the 4G modem version from October 2021)
  • Outputs can be controlled from the Protegus 2 application
  • Control of connected devices (lighting, gates, ventilation systems, heating, sprinklers, etc.)

Quick installation:

  • Settings can be saved to a file for use on another device
  • Quick and easy configuration via USB or, after the initial setup, remotely using TrikdisConfig configuration software or the Protegus 2 application
  • 2 access levels for configuring and managing the communicator: Administrator, Installer

Monitoring station connection:

  • The module transmits messages to the monitoring station via IP in Contact ID code format for designated systems
  • Compatible with universal SIA DC-09 and SUR-GUARD TL150 receivers
  • In case of loss of connection to the primary monitoring channel, automatic switch to the secondary security channel
  • Notification to up to two separate monitoring receivers. Both receivers have a backup security channel

You'll Need a Cable for Connection

paradox logo

If the G16 or E16 communicator is being connected to a Paradox alarm panel, you'll need a cable that can be connected to the CRP2 serial port as well.

texecom

If you're connecting it to a Texecom alarm panel, choose the CRP4 cable!

Connection to Data Bus or Serial Port, What Does This Mean?

In this case, the communicator is practically taught to understand the alarm panel's own language (one-way communication). Just like operators or other peripheral devices, the communicator sees events and will transmit the appropriate information according to the settings.

Direct Control

In the case of directly controllable panels, the communicator not only receives notifications from the panel but also a part of the functions available on the keypad becomes accessible (bidirectional communication).

  • Activation / deactivation of the entire system or partition using a user code
  • Detection of zone statuses
  • Zone bypass
  • Automatic mapping of partitions and zones
ANT01S small antenna

G16 and G16T comes with a basic ANT01S GSM Antenna. If you expect a weak signal at the place of installation or your module will be shaded by a metal box or a thick wall, we recommend buying a ME301M magnetic or a ANT04 stick-on antenna with 2.5m wire.
